from 36 kWh to 162 kWh
They are important, often vital, and they are an expensive business: uninterruptible emergency power supplies. The acquisition costs are high. They also require regular care and maintenance. And when their time is up, they have rarely been used - fortunately! But what if there were an uninterruptible power supply that was not only ready for use when everything fails, but would also contribute to cost reduction all the time? You would have cost-effective security!
innovenergy offers you a safe profitable UPS in combination with a PV system that pays off:
- Inverter capacity from 15 to 45 kVA (400 V)
- Salt battery storage capacity from 36 to 162 kWh - can be expanded at any time through simple plug-in units in the rack
- Safe control and take-over of power supply in less than 20 milliseconds in case of mains failure
- Existing online UPS systems can be integrated
- No fire acceleration - harmless in case of fire
The salitrust© is an uninterruptible AC-coupled salt battery storage system that automatically switches to island operation in less than 20 milliseconds and continues to operate autonomously. It guarantees the safe continued functioning of your industrial operation. The AC-coupled salt battery storage system works with all PV inverters. With Fronius PV inverters, solar energy continues to be stored in the battery after a grid failure. The installed battery inverter power can vary from 15 to 45 kVA depending on the project.
The following salitrust© are available:
|Number of batteries||Storage capacity||Inverter capacity|
|4 - 6||36 - 54 kWh||3 x 5 kVA = 15 kVA|
|6 - 10||54 - 90 kWh||3 x 8 kVA = 24 kVA|
|7 - 12||63 - 108 kWh||3 x 10 kVA = 30 kVA|
|8 - 18||72 - 162 kWh||3 x 15 kVA = 45 kVA|
This list is only indicative and may vary depending on project requirements. This will be worked out in the preceding engineering. Depending on the requirements, higher inverters up to 3 x 30 kVA can also be installed.

Without emergency power
In the event of a grid failure, the entire system stops operating and cannot be used any further. Neither the PV system works nor the battery storage system is available.
With an island-capable battery storage system, the system continues to function completely without the grid in the event of a grid failure. The battery continues to be charged via the PV system. Subsequent technical requirements can be found under "Emergency power supply".
UPS means uninterruptible power supply. This means that in the event of a power failure, the system automatically switches to off-grid operation in less than 20 msec and continues to function independently.
|Mains independence||asymmetrical 3-phase operation|
|Recharging by PV in off-grid operation||with Victron, Solaredge, Fronius and Studer|
|Switchover to off-grid mode||automatic (in under 20 milliseconds)|
- Potential-free contact for switching consumers on and off (charging station, heat pump, etc.)
- Time control for recharging the battery from the mains (calibration 100 % SOC)
- Lifetime-optimised operation of the battery (discharge protection during bad weather periods, consideration of the weather, power limits)
There are no early recycling or disposal fees. However, the transport of the battery to be discarded back to the manufacturer in Stabio/CH must be borne by the customer. There, the complete battery is returned to its raw material cycle.
Without further conditions, the salt battery is covered directly by the manufacturer with a time-value guarantee of 10 years. The battery inverters are covered by a 5-year warranty. Everything else is covered by a standard 2-year warranty. The warranty is an device warranty. Travel costs and working hours will be charged separately in the event of replacement or faults, unless you have subscribed to a service contract for the relevant year.
If the storage demand increases, additional batteries can be added at any time (even years later) without any problems. The storage capacity then increases by 9 kWh per added battery.
The salt batteries of the innovenergy storage solution are made of harmless materials: 32 % common salt, 22 % nickel, 22 % iron, 20 % ceramic.
The recycling of the salt battery has been standardised for 15 years. The metals are melted down and returned to the metal industry. The battery is manufactured 100% in Switzerland according to Swiss environmental and labour standards.
The salt battery is absolutely safe - the rooms do not need any fire protection or fire warning devices as the battery is neither flammable nor can it explode. It can also be operated in very cold and very warm rooms (-20° to +60° C) without ventilation or air conditioning. The outside temperature does not affect the storage capacity or the service life.
The battery survives a total discharge without damage. The salt battery has a service life of at least 15 years (10-year guarantee) and is maintenance-free.
The salt battery is extremely robust and is used by the thousands in the telecommunications industry. In industry, it is considered a cheap and safe electricity storage technology in the long term. With innovenergy, this technology is now also available for domestic use and for businesses.
